Trump Accounts Are Now Live. Eligible Families Should Activate or Register Their Accounts.
The U.S. Treasury has begun activating Trump Accounts, the new tax-advantaged investment accounts established for eligible children under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
Any child under age 18 with a valid Social Security number is eligible to open a Trump Account. There is no income requirement to open an account, and a parent or legal guardian must establish the account on the child's behalf.
If You Already Pre-Registered
If you completed the Trump Account pre-registration with your tax return or through TrumpAccounts.gov, you should receive an email from no-reply@trumpaccounts.treasury.gov with instructions to activate your child's account.
To activate your account:
-
Open the email from no-reply@trumpaccounts.treasury.gov.
-
Click Activate Account.
-
Follow the prompts to verify your information and create an account.
-
Look out for a follow-up email to complete the activation process.
If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder. If you still cannot locate it, contact the Trump Accounts Call Center at 866-USA-4547.
If You Have Not Yet Registered
If you did not complete the pre-registration process, you can still register for a Trump Account.
Visit TrumpAccounts.gov to learn about the program, review eligibility requirements and get started. The website includes official guidance, answers to common questions, and step-by-step instructions for opening an account and enrolling an eligible child.
You may register by downloading the Trump Accounts app or by visiting TrumpAccounts.gov to create and manage your account. You will need to log into IRS.gov and verify your identity with ID.me first.
You are also welcome to visit the LRRC during regular walk-in hours to use on-site computers to complete the application.

Questions About Trump Accounts and Government Programs
The Lakewood Resource and Referral Center has received questions about how Trump Accounts may affect eligibility for government programs.
At this time, official guidance has not yet been released regarding whether these accounts will affect eligibility for government programs or how they will be treated for income and asset eligibility purposes. LRRC will continue to monitor updates and share additional information as it becomes available.
