Dovid Friedman, M.D.
Dr. Dovid Friedman - CEO of the Lakewood Resource and Referral Center and its Community Health Center - CHEMED, the Center for Health Education Medicine & Dentistry.
Dr. Friedman has nearly twenty years of executive level experience in community health and social service spanning four continents. He received his medical training in Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr. Friedman practiced in the public health arena in both South Africa, England and Israel.
As Chief Physician and Chief Medical Administrator of a regional network of Community Health Centers in Israel, he served on the Israeli National Medical Advisory Committee.
As Medical Director of Monarch Medical International, Dr. Friedman provided the clinical experience necessary to develop the Cliniflow Electronic Medical Record and then worked with American Express Tax and Business Services to bring it to Community Health Centers across the United States.
This expertise was later utilized in his role of Physician Executive at Henry Schein, Inc. where he successfully implemented Electronic Medical Records at numerous Community Health Centers.
Dr. Friedman’s passion for public service along with his management and clinical expertise are well suited for his role as CEO of the LRRC and CHEMED – The Center for Health Education Medicine & Dentistry.
Sarah Sternbach, MPA
Director, Social Services
Sarah Sternbach earned her Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration. Having spent several years as a grants coordinator and programs manager for a number of prestigious non-profits, Sarah brings to the LRRC extensive experience in the non-profit sector. Her current responsibilities include overseeing all administration, program development, and outreach.
An effective leader with an eye towards the future, since joining the LRRC, Sarah has significantly streamlined the organizational operations as well as expanded the LRRC’s reach and efficacy in helping to meet the needs of the residents of Ocean County.
