Community leaders became aware that many individuals and families were having difficulties navigating and understanding the complex government entitlement offices, information sources and applications. This often prevented them from receiving the help they needed. Frustrated with the system, some people stopped searching for assistance altogether. The idea of setting up an agency to help these people was conceived by several community visionaries, and, after careful planning, LRRC eventually opened its doors in March of 2005.

LRRC staff members are experienced highly motivated, and conduct continuous research to ensure that they are aware of all the latest regulations and requirements of the assistance programs. They are experts in community resources, governmental entitlements, and private sector programs that encompass all life-cycle necessities. LRRC staff members receive both formal instruction, in-service education (on a continuous basis), and on the job training.

LRRC has helped tens of thousands of individuals and families. In 2009, LRRC assisted 24,667 community members and their families.

LRRC provides in-person and over-the-phone appointments to our clients.

LRRC constantly seeks new growth opportunities.
