New Jersey has many benefit programs available so you can take off work to care for yourself and others. Temporary Disability and Family Leave Insurance provides cash benefits of up to 85% of your average weekly wages (up to a maximum) to care for yourself and your loved ones. For those eligible for the maximum benefit, beginning January 1, the maximum weekly benefit amount is increasing to $1,055 per week. The disability must start after January 1 to receive the increased maximum amount.
