Farmers Market Checks Now Available Through WIC - 07/2022

The WIC Farmers’ Market Nutritional Program provides checks to eligible WIC participants to buy locally grown, unprepared fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs to eligible pregnant women, post-partum women, and children 2-5 years old.

Each eligible WIC participant receives five $5 checks that can be redeemed for fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs grown by local farmers. Checks are available first-come-first-serve and must be requested through the local WIC office. The Farmers Market Checks are physical checks separate from the eWIC card and must be used by November 30, 2022.

Ocean County residents should call the local WIC office at 732-370-0122 or e-mail [email protected]

Farmers Market checks are also available for low-income seniors over the age of 60. For more information, call the Office of Senior Services at 732-929-2091.
