Dovid Friedman, M.D.
CEO
CEO of the Lakewood Resource and Referral Center and its Community Health Center - CHEMED, the Center for Health Education Medicine & Dentistry. Dr. Friedman has nearly thirty years of executive-level experience in community health and social service spanning four continents. He received his medical training in Johannesburg, South Africa, and practiced in the public health arena in South Africa, England, and Israel. Dr. Friedman joined the Administrative arena as Chief Physician and Chief Medical Administrator of a regional network of Community Health Centers in Israel. His experience also includes the clinical development of Electronic Medical Records and Community Health Center workflow training. His passion for public service, along with his management and clinical expertise, is well suited for his role as CEO of the LRRC and CHEMED – The Center for Health Education Medicine & Dentistry. Under Dr. Friedman’s leadership, CHEMED has grown to service 100,000 unique patients annually in multiple health center sites.
Sarah Sternbach, MPA
Director, Social Services
Sarah Sternbach earned her Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management from Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration. Having spent several years as a grants coordinator and programs manager for a number of prestigious non-profits, Sarah brings to the LRRC extensive experience in the non-profit sector. Her current responsibilities include overseeing all administration, program development, and outreach.
An effective leader with an eye towards the future, since joining the LRRC, Sarah has significantly streamlined the organizational operations as well as expanded the LRRC’s reach and efficacy in helping to meet the needs of the residents of Ocean County.
