Limited Registration Open for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) - 12/2025
Ocean County Applications Are Processed by CHS
Registration has reopened for New Jersey’s Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) for families in certain priority groups. CCAP helps eligible families pay for childcare so parents can work or attend approved training.
Completing the online registration form is the first step in being considered for an invitation to apply for CCAP benefits. Slots are limited. Once program capacity is reached, parents will remain on the registration list until additional availability becomes available.
Who Qualifies
Priority groups currently being offered registration include:
- Families with children experiencing homelessness
- Families with children with special needs
- Families with low income
Important correction to the CCAP registration information we shared earlier:
The State has clarified that they have not finalized specific income limits for this registration reopening. Please disregard the income figures included previously and register if you are interested in this program regardless of your income or priority status.
Not every family in a priority group who is invited to apply will necessarily receive assistance.
How to Register
If you believe you may qualify, register as soon as possible at www.childcarenj.gov. We recommend registering immediately, since limited slots may fill quickly.
If there is availability, you will receive an email from noreply@mynjhelps.gov that will include instructions and a personalized application link. Families are welcome to come to the LRRC during regular walk-in hours to use the LRRC computers to complete the online registration form.
