The Lakewood Resource and Referral Center (LRRC), in partnership with South Jersey Legal Services (SJLS), is hosting a Free Legal Clinic on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the LRRC office (212 2nd Street, Suite 204, Lakewood, NJ).

SJLS is a nonprofit law firm committed to delivering high-quality civil legal services. Attorneys will be available to provide free legal guidance to eligible low-income individuals.

What to Expect:

• Initial screening & general advice only. Attorneys will review your concerns and discuss the next steps.
• Need more in-depth help or representation? Individuals seeking specific legal advice or representation must complete SJLS's formal intake process and may be scheduled for a follow-up appointment.

Areas of legal assistance may include:

• Public Benefits & Assistance SSI, TANF, GA, SNAP, NJ FamilyCare, Unemployment Insurance
• Housing & Landlord-Tenant Issues Landlord/tenant disputes, public housing rights, Section 8 housing, foreclosure prevention
• Family & Personal Safety Domestic violence, family law matters
• Consumer & Financial Issues Bankruptcy, consumer rights, IRS tax disputes
• Vulnerable Populations Rights of the elderly, migrant farmworker rights, education law

Please note: SJLS does not provide representation in criminal matters, traffic violations, municipal court, or personal injury cases.
