Just a friendly reminder from the LRRC that Open Enrollment for health insurance is right around the the corner!

Open Enrollment is the only time during the year that an individual who is not eligible for Medicaid may apply for health insurance. Open Enrollment for plans beginning January 1, 2020 will be from November 1, 2019 until December 15, 2019. You must sign up for insurance by December 15th to be insured for 2020. If you miss that deadline, you will most likely not be able to get a plan at any point during 2020 – even from a private broker.

If you are not offered health insurance through your employer or a government-subsidized plan, you may qualify for low-cost private insurance if you sign up for a plan through the Marketplace.
