The State of New Jersey will be providing up to 6 months of temporary rental assistance for a number of low and moderate-income households that have had a substantial reduction in income or became unemployed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
When: The DCA will accept applications from Monday, July 6, 2020 at 9:00 am until Friday, July 17, 2020 at 5:00 pm at 5:00 pm

Further Details:
Submission of a pre-application does not guarantee placement in this program. A lottery will be used to select eligible applicants. Only one pre-application per household will be accepted. Anyone accepted for this program must be current in their rent payments up to March 2020, have a substantial reduction in income or be receiving unemployment due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and have a lack of assets and savings to pay rent. Anyone currently receiving a subsidy from another rental assistance program is ineligible.
